Project Description

Art Can Change the World seeks to commission digital artist, or artist team, to create dynamic, site-responsive digital artwork for display within the LIT1 Amazon facility. This project will celebrate the spirit of Amazon employees, highlighting their stories and contributions while reflecting the culture and community of Little Rock. The artwork will serve as a visually engaging installation that fosters a sense of pride and belonging.

The digital art piece may include interactive elements or other innovative digital media to create an immersive experience. The installation will be prominently located in a common area to ensure maximum visibility for employees and visitors.

Amazon Little Rock Facility Background

The Little Rock Amazon facility is a vital part of the region’s economic landscape, providing employment opportunities and contributing to the local community. This digital arts project is part of Amazon's continued effort to create a welcoming and inspiring workspace that reflects the diversity and creativity of its employees.

 

Concept Requirements:

  • Celebrate the contributions and experiences of Amazon employees

  • Incorporate themes of community, innovation, and local culture

  • Utilize vector based digital elements

  • Ensure accessibility and user engagement

Project Compensation:

Each digital artist will be compensated $500 for design delivery and any other associated costs upon completion and acceptance.

Application Requirements:

Interested artists or teams must submit the following materials by the application deadline:

  • Letter of Intent: Up to one page describing your interest in the project and your approach to digital public art.

  • Resume or CV: Detailing previous experience with public art, digital media, and relevant projects.

  • Portfolio: Up to 10 images or video links showcasing relevant work.

  • References: Contact information for three professional references familiar with your work.

 

Evaluation Criteria:

  • Artistic excellence and innovation in digital media

  • Experience vector based design programs

  • Understanding of community engagement and storytelling through digital art

  • Ability to meet the project timeline

Eligibility:

This opportunity is open to professional visual artists and artist teams within the state of Arkansas. Experience with digital art, multimedia installations, and community-centered design is preferred. Applicants must be 17 years of age or older.
